Fairness, Justice & Equity Global (FJEG) is a mission-driven consulting, research, and capacity-building organisation headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, USA, with a regional office in Abomey-Calavi, Benin.
Founded by Dr. Alain Elegbe, FJEG brings together a multidisciplinary team of environmental scientists, GIS specialists, policy analysts, water governance experts, and development practitioners united by a singular purpose: advancing equitable, sustainable solutions to the world's most pressing environmental and development challenges.
We work at the intersection of environmental science, social justice, and community development — partnering with governments, multilateral institutions, NGOs, universities, and the private sector across Africa and the United States.
To advance fairness, justice, and equity in environmental and social systems by delivering high-quality, evidence-based consulting, research, and capacity-building services that empower communities, strengthen institutions, and promote sustainable development across Africa and the United States.
Notre mission est de promouvoir l'équité, la justice et l'égalité dans les systèmes environnementaux et sociaux en fournissant des services de conseil, de recherche et de renforcement des capacités de haute qualité.
A world where every community — regardless of geography, income, or identity — has equitable access to clean water, a healthy environment, and the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in a changing climate.
Un monde où chaque communauté dispose d'un accès équitable à l'eau potable, à un environnement sain et aux outils nécessaires pour prospérer face aux changements climatiques.
We believe every person deserves equal access to environmental resources and justice, regardless of background or geography.
Our work is grounded in peer-reviewed research, validated methodologies, and transparent data practices.
We co-design solutions with the communities we serve, ensuring local ownership and cultural appropriateness.
Every recommendation we make considers long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
We centre the voices of marginalised groups — women, youth, and rural communities — in all our programmes.
We bring international best practices to local contexts, bridging the gap between global standards and grassroots realities.
Dr. Alain Elegbe is the Founder and President of Fairness, Justice & Equity Global (FJEG) and the Fairness, Justice & Equity Foundation (FJEF). A scholar-practitioner with over 15 years of experience spanning environmental science, water governance, climate justice, and international development, Dr. Elegbe has dedicated his career to advancing equitable and sustainable solutions for communities across Africa and the United States.
He holds advanced degrees in Environmental Science and Public Policy, and his academic research — including peer-reviewed dissertations on household water insecurity and climate vulnerability — has been recognised at international conferences and institutions.
Dr. Elegbe has worked with governments, multilateral agencies, NGOs, and universities across more than 12 countries, designing and implementing programmes in water access, environmental justice, capacity building, and community resilience. His bilingual expertise in English and French enables FJEG to serve both Anglophone and Francophone communities with equal depth and cultural sensitivity.
He is based in Round Rock, Texas, and maintains active operations through FJEG's regional office in Abomey-Calavi, Benin.
With headquarters in the United States and a regional office in West Africa, FJEG is uniquely positioned to bridge international development standards with on-the-ground African realities.
